Being the eldest of 3 siblings. I started supporting my family economically from a very young age. As a child, I was very active, creative, and full of passion for reading and singing.
A strong emotional connection with my mother is what shaped my character as a person being available to everyone whoever needed help.
A new phase of my life started when I got married on 1st December 1991 to a perfect husband who supported me unconditionally in my journey of existence and in all my endeavors. He gave me space to grow and create my own identity living in a joint family of 14 people. My family grew with the birth of my son & then daughter and with that grew my responsibilities towards my family. I should have been content, happy and peaceful person but that was not the case. A thought that there is something missing did not let me be at peace with myself.
The course of my life changed completely when my son suffered from an illness.
With that came the realization there were many children out in the world with disabilities who needed help and I could contribute towards their development in some way. So, I started teaching underprivileged children & joined Helen Keller Institute as an intern. This experience taught me what compassion really was and further helped me realize that not only the underprivileged but all adolescents and their parents needed guidance. It propelled me to take up my education once again and so I went ahead and earned a degree in Career Counselling and Special Education. My journey of knowing the world rather than knowing myself had begun.
This is when my daughter Bhavisha introduced my husband and me to Victor Manickam Knowledge Group & Program For Life. Joining this course changed my reality of how I looked at my relationships and the world around me. During the journey of this course we as a family were going through hardships in business as well as family relationships. However, forgiving and asking for forgiveness from our extended family and ourselves opened the doors for real and authentic conversations to begin. We realized that all of us had been going through the same feelings. The shift from non-acceptance to acceptance was swift in all aspects of our life which led us to become more compassionate and accepting of each other.
My quest for learning and discovering was not over. I went ahead and became a certified Human Design Educator (Professional) on 6th September 2020. It was a landmark for me. I experienced Oneness with fellow human beings. I found new meanings for simple words like Freedom, Love, Compassion, and Responsibility.
Now, I want to create the possibilities of ‘Freedom of Choice’ for others every day because I am Freedom, Love, and Compassion.
